Education (including Topical Questions)

MPs question a government minister

MPs will pose oral questions to the Education Secretary on issues of current concern in schools and the education system. Topical questions allow members to raise urgent or recently emerged matters without prior notice, giving the government the chance to respond to live debates affecting pupils, teachers, and educational institutions across the country.

Oral questions are Parliament's primary mechanism for holding the Education Secretary to account on policy implementation and emerging crises. This session will surface parliamentary and public concerns about schools, affecting millions of pupils and families, and will test the government's grip on pressing education issues.
