Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of Beyond The Vote. Please read them before you sign up or subscribe. They are written to be as short and readable as we can make them while still saying what needs to be said.

Last updated: 17 April 2026.

1. Who we are

Beyond The Vote is operated by Ten Days Consulting Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14320570). Contact us at hello@beyondthevote.co.uk.

2. What the service is

Beyond The Vote is a political intelligence service for the United Kingdom. It aggregates public data — parliamentary voting records, speeches, news coverage, and official statistics — and presents analysis of it. Some analysis is generated by AI and may contain errors. We aim to be transparent about sources and to correct errors promptly when you report them.

The service is not legal advice, financial advice, or investment advice. Do not rely on it as a sole source for decisions that matter.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for any activity on your account. Notify us as soon as possible if you believe your account has been compromised.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, or disruptive.

4. Subscriptions, billing, and renewals

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance at the price and interval shown at checkout. Prices include VAT where applicable. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial periods, except where required by law.

We will give at least 14 days’ notice by email before any increase in the price of your existing subscription.

5. Your 14-day cooling-off period

UK law gives you 14 days to cancel any new online subscription for any reason (the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013).

At checkout you can choose to start using paid features straight away. If you tick the waiver box, you agree that beginning to use the service means you give up that 14-day cancellation right. You can still cancel future renewals at any time from your settings (see section 4).

6. Refunds

If the service has been down for a long stretch, or we’ve charged you by mistake, email us at hello@beyondthevote.co.uk and we will review your request. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, mirror, or republish substantial portions of the service without our written permission.
  • Attempt to circumvent access controls, rate limits, or subscription gating.
  • Reverse-engineer paid analysis or resell it as your own.
  • Use the service to harass, defame, or impersonate any person.
  • Submit content via feedback, correction, or Ask features that is unlawful, defamatory, or designed to manipulate our algorithmic outputs.

8. Data and third-party content

We use data from the UK Parliament, the Office for National Statistics, data.police.uk, and other public sources. We attribute these sources on our Data sources page. Your use of the service is subject to the terms of those underlying licences.

News headlines and summaries are indexed and summarised from third-party publishers; we link to the original story and do not republish full articles.

9. Algorithmic output and accuracy

MP briefings, sentiment scores, news categorisation, and Ask-feature answers are generated by AI and automated scoring systems. We make reasonable efforts to keep them accurate, but they are not reviewed by an editor and may contain errors.

If you believe any part of the service is wrong, please use the “Report an issue” link on the relevant page. We aim to review reports within 14 days.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss of opportunity arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015).

Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service in that period.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms from time to time. We will give at least 14 days’ notice by email of any material change to paid subscribers and to free users with registered email addresses. If you do not accept a material change, you may cancel your subscription before it takes effect.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in this clause deprives you of any mandatory consumer protections available in your country of residence.
