In relation to risks to the UK public, I refer the Hon Member to my statement to the House on 21 May (HCWS60), and I can confirm that there have to date been no cases of Ebola amongst UK nationals returning from the region.

Commonwealth and Development Affairs, how much her Department will contribute to the International Development Association of the World Bank in the remainder of this Parliament.

The UK works closely with the World Bank Group's International Development Association (IDA) to support the world's lowest‑income countries. It delivers excellent value for the taxpayer and has continually been shown to be one of the most impactful organisations in tackling poverty.The UK has pledged £1.98 billion to the 21st replenishment of IDA (IDA21), which covers a three-year cycle from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2028.The remainder of this Parliament also spans the next replenishment cycle, IDA22. Decisions about future replenishments will be subject to future Spending Reviews.

Commonwealth and Development Affairs, when she last met her Irish counterpart face to face to discuss people arriving illegally and crossing the border into Northern Ireland.

The current Foreign Secretary has not yet had a face-to-face meeting with her Irish counterpart but looks forward to doing so when schedules allow, and continuing the constructive discussions they have already had by telephone, on the range of subjects set out in previous answers. UK and Irish Ministers and officials regularly meet to discuss issues of importance, including on ensuring the integrity and security of the Common Travel Area.

As stated in my answer to Question 105155, the UK and Ireland are jointly committed to deepening our security and defence cooperation on the full range of threats facing both our countries. That includes countering Russian aggression and supporting Ukraine.

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) actively monitors and manages fraud, bribery, corruption and error risks across its Official Development Assistance (ODA) portfolio through a range of controls, reporting mechanisms and ongoing risk assessments. Available estimates in this area can be found in the section on fraud at pages 167-169 of the FCDO's 2024/25 Annual Report and Accounts, and in equivalent sections in previous years' reports.

While this particular issue was not on the agenda for that call, the Ministers did discuss countering Russian aggression and our support to Ukraine, and we continue to discuss priority issues with our Irish counterparts as and when they arise, including at Ministerial level.

The UK and Ireland continue to discuss how we can improve our security cooperation, including maritime and cyber security. On 3 December, the Foreign Secretary spoke to her counterpart Helen McEntee, Ireland's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Defence, about defence, security and other matters.That follows the commitments made by the Prime Minister and Taoiseach at the UK-Ireland Summit in March 2025 to deepen defence cooperation.

The Government continues to call on the Russian authorities to allow a full and independent investigation into the circumstances of Alexei Navalny's death. On 7 October, the UK co-sponsored a resolution adopted by the United Nations Human Rights Council expressing grave concerns that such an investigation had not been conducted.
