28 Jun 2026OthermeasuredFinally I agree with Piers Morgan on something. Brexit has been an unmitigated disaster. #BBCLauraK
25 Jun 2026EnvironmentsarcasticLast night Reform and Tory MPs voted against efforts to stop climate change. Don’t Look Up, guys, whatever you do. votes.parliament.uk/votes/common...
22 Jun 2026MP & ParliamentmeasuredWe can’t keep changing Prime Ministers. The only way to fix division and disillusion is with a PM who can unite the country. Sincerely hope Andy Burnham is the leader Labour MPs seem to think he is.
22 Jun 2026MP & ParliamentsarcasticIronically this is the most human Starmer has sounded in the past two years.
22 Jun 2026MP & ParliamentangryKeir Starmer has made some catastrophic errors of judgement - not least the appointment of Mandelson. The country needs stability and a PM focused on delivering rather than endless psychodrama. We had enough of that under the Tories.
21 Jun 2026Social CareempatheticI have been thinking about little Preston Davey a lot. It’s clear there are serious questions to be answered - and the Government’s children’s social care reforms must be implemented at pace. www.thetimes.com/uk/crime/art...
19 Jun 2026MP & ParliamentangryNotable that Reform did (for a while) throw everything at Makerfield but progressive voters united to stop them. Farage and his politics of division and hate can be stopped from getting anywhere near Government if people vote tactically.
19 Jun 2026MP & ParliamentmeasuredBurnham was always going to win Makerfield. If Starmer had let him stand in Gorton and Denton he probably would have won there, and the country could have been saved months of Labour turmoil. Instead now we are almost certainly looking at a drawn out leadership battle.
17 Jun 2026Culture & CommunitycelebratoryJo Cox’s maiden speech gave me the courage to stand for Parliament. As she said, we are far more united and have far more in common than that which divides us. A pleasure to join Kim ahead of the Great Get Together.
12 Jun 2026Economy & Jobs (General)celebratoryA pleasure to visit GE Aerospace this morning and hear more about this fantastic local employer, their support for local students and their ambitions for the future.
11 Jun 2026Culture & CommunitycelebratoryFootball brings us together across communities, generations and backgrounds. That’s why I’ve tabled this parliamentary motion celebrating the pride, excitement and sense of national unity that England’s participation in the World Cup inspires #ENG edm.parliament.uk/early-day-mo...
10 Jun 2026Educationmeasured📣 SEND 📣: I have written to the Secretary of State once again with my constituents’ concerns. I know that many parents are feeling let down by the Government’s White Paper and I will continue to do everything I can to ask Ministers to listen to the voices of lived experience.
8 Jun 2026Technology & DigitalangryThe PM’s response on this is weak and disappointing. Tech companies should have been forced to introduce safety controls ages ago instead of prioritising profit over safety. The government must step up and protect children and young people online. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cr...
7 Jun 2026Culture & CommunitycelebratoryFinally caught up with #DearEngland - what a triumph. Says so much not only about the beautiful game and the power of sport to bring us together as a nation - even at our most fractured - but the importance of self-belief. It should be shown in every school in the country.
7 Jun 2026MP & ParliamentangryJacob Rees-Mogg says Reform and the Tories should be helping each other in by elections. They want to stitch up elections between them. Don’t let them win. #BBCLauraK
7 Jun 2026MP & ParliamentangryPoliticians who exploit tragedy to create division and hate should be ashamed. What Farage did this week was despicable. #BBCLauraK
4 Jun 2026Social CareSincerely hope he means it. All Labour have done on social care since they came to power is kick the can down the road.
3 Jun 2026Crime & PolicingangryI am appalled by the scenes in Southampton last night which will have been frightening for local people. Violence is never acceptable.
2 Jun 2026Crime & PolicingmeasuredToday I asked the Home Secretary what action she is taking to get knives off our streets.
2 Jun 2026Crime & PolicingangryTo echo what Henry’s father said outside court yesterday afternoon, knife crime is a national emergency. It has blighted communities for too long and we need to see a public health approach to the epidemic of knife violence.
2 Jun 2026Crime & PolicingmeasuredI welcome that Hampshire Constabulary have referred themselves to the Independent Office For Police Conduct. Henry’s family deserve answers.
2 Jun 2026Crime & PolicingempatheticMy thoughts are with Henry Nowak’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. He was a young man with his whole life ahead of him. His killer is rightly facing a significant sentence for his heinous crime.
21 May 2026EnvironmentsarcasticDoubtful! Look at his voting record on climate change and the environment 🤦‍♀️
20 May 2026Culture & CommunityempatheticI know many Southampton fans in my constituency will be hugely disappointed with the way that their season has ended. I feel sorry for the club’s fans and players, having missed out on a return to the Premier League after such a hard-fought campaign.
19 May 2026MP & ParliamentangryThe knock on impact of Labour’s internal chaos is that important meetings with ministers who have now resigned are cancelled, while new ministers get to grips with their briefs. It is constituents who pay the price. This is absolutely no way to run a country.
12 May 2026MP & ParliamentmeasuredAfter years of chaos under the Conservatives and with the country facing so many challenges my constituents and people across the UK deserve so much better than a Government in turmoil. Labour needs to get its act together and put the country first.
9 May 2026MP & ParliamentmeasuredI have a lot of respect for Gordon Brown but bringing back former Prime Ministers didn’t help the Tories and I doubt it will help Starmer either.
8 May 2026Local GovernmentcelebratoryDelighted the @libdems.org.uk @eastleighld.bsky.social have held Eastleigh Borough Council - a real testimony to the consistent hard work and dedication of our fantastic councillors and a rejection of Reform’s politics of division.
6 May 2026Crime & PolicingcelebratoryMy constituent Paris is doing an amazing job with her petition to remove sentence reductions for guilty pleas in controlling and coercive cases and I’m doing everything I can to support her. At 100,000 signatures Parliament has to consider the petition for debate. Will you sign her petition today?
