5 May 2026Energy & Net ZerosarcasticI raised the issue of potential jet fuel shortages on the 20th March. The response from the Minister on 17th April implied there was nothing to worry about. And yet here we are.
5 May 2026Social Careangry“To us, this feels like a betrayal of elderly people in England.”
5 May 2026Social Careempathetic“Our care home is where we are known, where we feel safe, where wonderful staff understand our needs, our routines, our memories. The thought of being moved on, our care homes becoming privatised, or our local day care centres being closed, is frightening - not just for us, but for our families too.
5 May 2026Local GovernmentangryThis open letter is a damning indictment of what can happen when Reform run a council. What a despicable way to treat the elderly. Absolutely appalling. www.mirror.co.uk/news/politic...
3 May 2026MP & ParliamentcelebratoryOn the doorsteps this week I’ve lost count of the number of people who have said thank you for helping them. That’s the thing about @libdems.org.uk - in local councils and Parliament we roll up our sleeves and get things done. For hard-working local councillors #VoteLibDem on Thursday.
29 Apr 2026MP & ParliamentcelebratoryGorgeous evening for canvassing, warm reception on the doors and the message is clear - only the @libdems.org.uk can beat Reform in Eastleigh 🔶
29 Apr 2026TransportempatheticI am concerned to hear about the crash on the M27 near Southampton Airport and will continue to monitor the situation closely. I would like to thank the emergency services for their swift response and my thoughts are with everyone impacted by this incident.
28 Apr 2026MP & ParliamentangryPeter Mandelson should never have been appointed as US Ambassador. I will be voting for the Privilege Motion. We need to draw a line under this mess and if the PM has nothing to hide then he has nothing to fear.
23 Apr 2026Local GovernmentmeasuredSince last May, Reform has lost about one in ten of its councillors. As @markpackuk.bsky.social says the high numbers give the appearance of “a rather dysfunctional group of people” who are not very good at getting on with each other. Local communities deserve better. observer.co.uk/news/politic...
17 Apr 2026Health & NHSmeasuredA recurring theme I’m hearing on the doorsteps is “I’m so disappointed in Labour.” And that’s on a wide range of issues including the NHS. Clearly the Government needs to get its act together - and that has to start at the very top.
17 Apr 2026MP & ParliamentangryWhen I appoint a member of staff I have to wait for them to pass security vetting, as do all MPs. It beggars belief that the PM would not have known that Mandelson had failed to pass developed vetting for a position as high level and high profile as Ambassador to the US.
31 Mar 2026Defence & SecurityangryThere can be no justification for the King’s visit to the US while Trump continues to wage his illegal war in the Middle East. Trump should not be rewarded for causing global devastation and maligning our armed forces. This visit should be cancelled.
30 Mar 2026Utilities & WatersarcasticYou wouldn’t go into a pub and ask for ‘three and a half seconds of Guinness’, so why are we measuring sewage spills in this way? That’s why I’m calling on the Government to end the Great Sewage Cover-up and hold Southern Water to account www.lizjarvis.uk/max/stop-the...
