11 Jun 2026TransportmeasuredI will continue to raise the needs of St Neots and Mid Cambridgeshire residents at every opportunity, and with every Government department, during this period of development.
11 Jun 2026TransportmeasuredToday I pressed the Transport Secretary to properly invest in sustainable bus, cycle and pedestrian transport links to the proposed new stations, as well as pushing her to consider the potential for an EWR station to the east of St Neots in order to connect our town in with the Government's plans.
11 Jun 2026TransportmeasuredBut for the railway to really fulfil its potential, these stations must be genuinely accessible to residents - and not just by car.
11 Jun 2026TransportmeasuredProposed East West Rail (EWR) stations at Tempsford and Cambourne will go some way to help residents access opportunity at the Universal Resort in Bedfordshire, in the proposed new town at Tempsford, and beyond into Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire.
11 Jun 2026Housing & PlanningmeasuredResidents of St Neots and Mid Cambridgeshire must be able to benefit from the huge opportunity that upcoming housing and tourism development in Bedfordshire will bring to our area.
28 May 2026OthermeasuredAlongside my Liberal Democrat colleagues, I will be continuing to press for genuinely workable guidance that ensures dignity, safety and inclusion for everyone.
28 May 2026OtherangryCausing people to worry about whether they can safely access public facilities, challenging anyone who doesn't appear 'female' enough, and leaving businesses and providers open to legal risk is not appropriate.
28 May 2026OthermeasuredEHRC guidance: I know this last week has been unsettling for the trans community and their loved ones. After months of delay, confusion and leaks to the press, the newly published guidance on single-sex spaces is disappointing.
28 May 2026MP & ParliamentmeasuredI am pleased that my team and I have had success securing reinstatement of multiple licences, and continue to push for action on others. Please do contact me if you are impacted by this and need support.
28 May 2026MP & ParliamentmeasuredDVLA delays: Residents frequently get in touch with me about long delays to reissuing licences following medical issues, which are significantly impacting their day-to-day independence and job prospects.
28 May 2026Social CaremeasuredThe Government is well aware that these are widespread issues and has committed to restoring standard service levels by the end of June - yet the progress we have seen so far seems minimal. If you are having issues accessing your pension, please contact me and my team will look to support you.
28 May 2026Tax & Public FinancesmeasuredIn my inbox last week...👇 Civil Service Pension Scheme (CSPS): Over the last few months, my team and I have been dealing with a high volume of messages from people unable to access lump sum payments and ongoing pension income since administration of CSPS was transferred to Capita.
28 May 2026Agriculture & Rural EconomymeasuredThe Network has just published a report exploring how making the active choice to work with nature and natural processes can protect against growing economic and climate pressures and secure the future of the UK's food production.
28 May 2026Agriculture & Rural EconomycelebratoryIt's always a pleasure to see Martin Lines, constituent and farmer, who is often in Westminster promoting the work of the Nature Friendly Farming Network (NFFN).
28 May 2026Housing & PlanningmeasuredHousing Minister, Matthew Pennycook, has committed to engaging with me and with residents regularly on progress, and I will be holding his department to account on this.
28 May 2026Housing & PlanningmeasuredI later met with Homes England and the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government to continue discussions about Tempsford now the public consultation phase has ended. We are now waiting for confirmation that the project will go ahead, and then for the development boundaries to be laid.
28 May 2026EducationmeasuredAt my regular meeting with the East of England Director at the Department for Education last week, I pressed for assurances that the right infrastructure - particularly further education and SEND provision - would be available in the area.
28 May 2026Housing & PlanningmeasuredI am continuing to raise the impact of potential housing development at Tempsford on St Neots and surrounding areas in all aspects of my work.
28 May 2026Culture & CommunitycelebratoryIn Northstowe, it was great to visit the Unity Centre, which officially opened at the end of March and has already become a huge asset to the town - both for its flexible and accessible community spaces, and for the building's ambitious, sustainability-focused design.
28 May 2026EducationcelebratoryAt Longsands, I met the school's newly appointed Principal and saw updated plans for the refurbishment of the sixth form building, which will hopefully make a big difference for current and prospective students.
28 May 2026EducationcelebratoryBefore schools broke up for half term, I held my regular visits to both Ernulf and Longsands, and met with Astrea Academy Trust leadership. At Ernulf, I was pleased to hear that Year 11s are engaging well with after school GCSE revision sessions, and that outcomes are on their way to improving.

7 May 2026Local GovernmentcelebratoryJust cast my vote for the Lib Dems in today’s local elections! 🔶 🗳️ Polls are open until 10pm. Across St Neots and Mid Cambridgeshire, your vote really does matter. Democracy matters. Please make your voice heard!
30 Apr 2026Culture & CommunitymeasuredEveryone has the right to feel safe in their community and live without fear - no matter their identity. I will continue to do all I can to stand up for that right.
30 Apr 2026Crime & PolicingmeasuredWe must do more to tackle extremism and hatred; through calling out antisemitism wherever we see it, and through a national Government action plan to eradicate it.
30 Apr 2026Crime & PolicingempatheticI am grateful to our emergency services for their response and for quickly apprehending the suspect, and to the brave members of the community who intervened.
