13 Jul 2026Defence & SecuritymeasuredI raised the ongoing settler violence and expansion of illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank in Parliament, pressing the Government on UK financial institutions' exposure to the financing of these settlements.
13 Jul 2026Housing & PlanningempatheticI joined Furniture Poverty UK and local housing associations to discuss tackling furniture poverty in Hillingdon. Too many people go without basic essentials like a cooker, fridge or bed. I am glad to back calls for housing associations to furnish at least 10% of their stock.
12 Jul 2026EnvironmentempatheticIn 2024, 100 homes in Ruislip Gardens were flooded - a devastating experience for residents who have since faced concerns about access to affordable insurance. I raised this in Parliament, pressing the Minister on what is being done to help cash poor households fund resilience measures upfront.
11 Jul 2026EducationcelebratoryI am very pleased to share that four new free breakfast clubs are coming to Uxbridge and South Ruislip this September! This delivers on the Government's manifesto commitment to offer free breakfast clubs in every state-funded primary school in England.
10 Jul 2026Culture & CommunitycelebratoryIt was such fun to attend an evening of music and dance in support of Meninadança, a charity that uses dance to empower girls living on Brazil's BR-116 highway, one of the most dangerous roads in the world for child exploitation. Thank you to St Matthew’s church for hosting!
9 Jul 2026Economy & Jobs (General)celebratoryVery exciting! I joined representatives from Uxbridge College and the Department for Work and Pensions for the pre-launch of the new Youth Employment Hub coming to Hillingdon. More to come on this very soon ✨
9 Jul 2026Economy & Jobs (General)celebratoryIntroducing Future Start - the new Youth Employment Hub coming to Uxbridge this September ✨ This has been a long time in the making and I could not be prouder. Young people across Hillingdon will now have dedicated support to access employment opportunities.
9 Jul 2026Housing & PlanningmeasuredThe Fabian Society Housing Summit brought together some of the leading voices on housing policy and I was glad to be part of it as a panelist. The discussion focused on the barriers to building more council and social housing and how the Government can deliver on its commitments.
8 Jul 2026Defence & SecuritymeasuredI am pleased to see the International Fund for Israeli-Palestinian Peace now launched by the UK, Canada and Australia. The Fund supports civil society organisations working across both communities to build the foundations for long-term peace.
8 Jul 2026Local GovernmentHillingdon Council is proposing to raise petition signature thresholds and remove automatic public hearings. After refusing to attend public meetings and making it harder to contact the council, this feels like more of the same. If you want your voice heard, sign the petition below.

5 Jul 2026Health & NHScelebratoryThe NHS turns 78 today and it remains one of the greatest achievements in our country's history. 29 Jun 2026MP & ParliamentmeasuredAlready signed! It's the only parliamentary mechanism available to formally oppose the EHRC's Code of Practice before it passes without any debate or scrutiny. I hope we get to 100 and more.
28 Jun 2026TransportmeasuredThe Government has opened a consultation on Heathrow expansion. I remain sceptical that expansion can happen without significant consequences for our community. Local voices must be heard. The consultation runs until 1st September. Have your say: www.gov.uk/government/c...
28 Jun 2026Crime & PolicingmeasuredFrom the police to residents popping to the shop — the stories are the same. Persistent shoplifting and antisocial behaviour seem to go unchecked on our high streets. The system isn't working and people don't trust it can.
27 Jun 2026Social CaremeasuredIt was great to meet with Hillingdon Council's fostering team to hear about the support packages available to foster carers across the borough. If you are interested in finding out more about fostering, visit hillingdon.gov.uk/fostering.

26 Jun 2026Health & NHSmeasuredA VAT loophole is leaving NHS patients at risk of losing access to life-changing medicines. I’ve written to the Treasury calling for a permanent VAT exemption on medicines provided free of charge for compassionate use alongside several national organisations. Let's keep pushing!
