11 Jul 2026Utilities & WaterangryFor years, residents in Crayford have endured repeated leaks & road closures. Following Thursday’s burst water main, I’ve written to Thames Water's Chief Executive for an explanation as to why this has happened again despite repeated warnings & calls for investment in Crayford.

Huge thanks to volunteers for the duck races & range of activities & to The City of God & Lindy Lou Tea Room for their support. Special thanks to Geraldene, Tiffany & Charlie for keeping the group running.
4 Jul 2026MP & ParliamentcelebratoryIt’s 2 years today since my election in Bexleyheath and Crayford. It’s a honour to represent the area I love in Parliament. We've seen a range of investment in local schools, NHS services, roads & trains but lots still to do to keep delivering across the constituency.

17 Jun 2026TransportmeasuredOur local bus routes to Darent Valley Hospital & Bluewater are under threat. If you want to protect these routes, add your name to my petition today. Kent County Council needs to drop its proposed increased “Bus Tax” to TfL services. 👉Sign the petition www.danielfrancis.uk/bus-tax/
15 Jun 2026Technology & DigitalmeasuredThere is strong evidence to show that social media is making our children unhappy and unsafe. As the parent of children at secondary school, I welcome the announced ban and welcome that the Government is taking action to better protect our children and young people.
15 Jun 2026Technology & DigitalmeasuredI met with Kanishka Narayan MP, Minister for AI & Online Safety, to present the findings from my recent Bexleyheath & Crayford Social Media survey. You can read the results of my Social Media survey here danielfrancis.uk/social-media....
15 Jun 2026Technology & DigitalcelebratoryToday the Government has announced they will bring forward a social media ban for under-16s. I was proud to be one of a group of MPs who wrote to the Prime Minister back in January calling for a ban, but have pressed for wider consultation to understand the impacts of it.
13 Jun 2026Culture & CommunitycelebratoryCongratulations to Kay Salter on receiving a MBE for services to Disabled People & to the community in Bexley. Kay has dedicated over 50 years as a volunteer of Falcon Spartak Gymnastics Club. Like many local parents, I’m grateful for the support she’s given to my children.

11 Jun 2026TransportmeasuredWe have asked Kent County Council to urgently reconsider their proposals, as no consideration has been given of the potential impacts for residents, businesses or the hospital if there were to be a resulting reduction in services.
11 Jun 2026TransportmeasuredThis 'Bus Tax' will see a substantial increase to charges to allow TfL to use the Fastrack busway between Darent Valley Hospital & Bluewater. These new financial demands could force TfL to consider changes to vital bus routes which serve the Bexleyheath and Crayford constituency.
11 Jun 2026TransportmeasuredI have written to the leader of Kent County Council along with my fellow MPs @jimdickson.bsky.social and @abenaoppongasare.bsky.social to call on the Reform leader to reconsider their proposed 'Bus Tax' increase to allow buses to serve Bluewater Shopping Centre.

6 Jun 2026Housing & PlanningmeasuredI've written to the Chief Executive of @LBofBexley regarding the planning application for 12 flats on the former Tennis Courts at Old Manor Way in Barnehurst. The application will be returning to the Planning Committee on 11th June, eight months after it was deferred.
6 Jun 2026Culture & CommunitymeasuredToday, we commemorate 82 years since the Normandy landings, beginning the liberation of Western Europe. I visited the beaches earlier this year & paid tribute to those troops. We honour the bravery and sacrifice of all those who fought and defeated fascism. We will remember them.
20 May 2026Cost of LivingcelebratoryNEW: Fuel duty will not rise this year. When global events push up prices, working people feel it first. That’s why we’re acting to keep costs down, extending the cut on fuel duty for the rest of the year. This will support millions of drivers and protect household budgets.
