With reference to the Number 10 press release entitled UK to deliver on 5% NATO pledge as Government drives greater security for working people, published on 23 June 2025, if he will list his Department's (a) projects and (b) programmes by directorate that will contribute to the resilience and security element of national security spending for each year between 2025-26 and 2034-35 inclusive; and if he will list the amount of spending for each item (a) in real terms (b) as a proportion of concurrent forecast GDP.

The Government will set out detailed plans for meeting this new target at the appropriate time. The Government will continue to report to NATO on delivery against the headline investment pledge and the split in line with NATO’s reporting schedule.

Member for Bicester and Woodstock on 28 October 2024, Official Report, column 550, what her planned timeline is for (a) completing and (b) publishing the state threats review.

The government is committed to responding to state threat activity in all its forms and we regularly review the tools and powers available to us.That is why the Home Secretary commissioned the Independent Reviewer of Terrorism and State Threats Legislation, Jonathan Hall KC, to undertake a review to identify whether there are parts of our existing terrorism legislation which could usefully be emulated in the state threats context.Following the publication of Mr Hall’s report on 19 May 2025, the Home Secretary committed to taking forward Mr Hall’s recommendations, including the creation of a new State Threats Proscription-like Tool. We will bring forward legislation as soon as Parliamentary time allows

We have been working closely with policing in the development of these important reforms. The new Joint Home Office and Policing Reform Team, which includes secondees from the National Police Chiefs’ Council, Association of Police and Crime Commissioners and other policing organisations, have been closely involved in helping to shape the police reform proposals and development of the White Paper.We will provide an update in due course.

Pursuant to the Answer of 9 June 2025 to Question 55429 on Offenders: Foreign Nationals, which country each of the foreign national offenders removed from the country between 5 July 2024 and 18 May 2025 went to.

The Home Office publishes data on foreign national offender (FNO) returns in the ‘Immigration System Statistics Quarterly Release’. Quarterly data on returns of FNOs by destination are published in table Ret_D04 of the ‘Returns detailed tables’. Information on the data and how to use the dataset can be found in the ‘Notes’ page of the workbook. The latest data goes to end of March 2025. Data up to end June 2025 will be released on 21st August 2025.

Decisions around the procurement of equipment, including armoured vehicles, are a matter for operationally independent Chief Constables and Police and Crime Commissioners, or Mayoral equivalents and are made in line with the needs of their police force and their budget allocation.

The Immigration White paper, published 12 May, set out proposed reforms in a number of areas.Over recent years, proper control and management of the immigration system has been lost. Levels of net migration have risen to a record high of 906,000 in the year ending June 2023 - a four-fold increase in the space of under four years.Further details will be set out in due course.

Including as entrepreneurs, through the Innovator Founder route, and leaders and future leaders in key fields through routes including Global Talent and High Potential Individual.As part of our mission to promote growth, we will go further in ensuring that the very highly skilled have opportunities to come to the UK and access our targeted routes for the brightest and best global talent by increasing the number of people arriving on our very high talent routes, alongside faster routes for bringing people to the UK who have the right skills and experience to supercharge UK growth in strategic industries As part of that, increasing places to our scheme for research interns, including those working in the field of Artificial Intelligence, to allow businesses access to additional promising young talentWe are also streamlining the process for employers and skilled workers to get visas, reducing bureaucracy and supporting growth.The Home Office keeps all aspects of the immigration system under regular review, in consultation with a wide range of experts and stakeholders.
