A new constituency created in the 2023 boundary review. Won by Lab in its first election in 2024. Centred on Southwark. Population 93,673, notably young (median age 33 vs 41 nationally), highly educated (50% degree-holders), a majority-minority constituency. Recorded crime is 55% above the national average.

A minister as well as an MP, Miatta Fahnbulleh has been active across both roles since entering Parliament in July 2024. Her two rebel votes stand out: she backed a stricter advertising ban on assisted dying services in June 2025 -- going further than the bill's sponsor proposed -- and voted against government regulations extending subsidies to Drax's biomass operation, signalling concern about the environmental credentials of that energy source. Both deviations are notable given her otherwise near-total party loyalty (99.4%) and her position as a minister with responsibility for energy and devolution.

Her parliamentary participation rate of 69% is below the Commons average, not unusual for a minister whose schedule is heavily shaped by departmental duties. She votes with Labour on virtually everything, but her stance profile shows meaningful divergences: she leans more cautious than most Labour MPs on tax increases and assisted dying access, while being slightly more likely to back parliamentary scrutiny mechanisms. Her 808 contributions across 93 debates are substantial, with energy, the economy, local government, housing and cost-of-living dominating her speeches -- topics that directly map to her ministerial brief.
