A new constituency created in the 2023 boundary review. Won by Con in its first election in 2024 by 1.5%. Covers Taverham and Drayton, Fakenham and Aylsham. Population 91,226, notably older (median age 49 vs 41 nationally). Recorded crime is 61% below the national average. Median income £26K (below average).

Jerome Mayhew has been a consistent opposition voice since the 2024 election, voting against the Labour government's budget legislation at every stage and supporting Conservative opposition motions on fuel duty and student loans. His sole rebel vote -- backing the Tobacco and Vapes Bill in November 2024 -- stands out against otherwise total Conservative party-line voting. On local issues, he has been active in securing a permanent Post Office for Fakenham, presenting a 1,000-signature petition to Parliament that contributed to a successful outcome, and successfully lobbied to protect funding for a new town swimming pool when it faced budget cuts. He has also publicly opposed a proposed solar farm on Norfolk agricultural land, consistent with a notably stronger environmental protection stance than his parliamentary colleagues.

Mayhew's participation rate of 72% sits below the Commons average, and his voting record is sharply oppositional -- 0% alignment with the government's budget positions and just 6% with the government's broader agenda across 52 divisions. His speeches, totalling 53 contributions across 19 debates, focus heavily on the economy and cost-of-living, with recurring themes around local government and environment. He votes consistently against tax increases (100%) and in favour of parliamentary scrutiny (100%) and civil liberties (83%), while sitting below his party average on assisted dying.
