Represented by Ref since 2024. Covers Sutton in Ashfield, Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Selston. Population 98,782. Median income £25K (below average).

One of Reform UK's most high-profile and controversial MPs, Lee Anderson made headlines in October 2025 when he admitted to the Telegraph that he had deliberately gamed the benefits system to place people on welfare -- a disclosure rated as severely damaging to constituent trust. More recently, he was branded "pathetic" by a constituent teacher in April 2026 after making derogatory remarks about teachers and children's intelligence. Against that backdrop, Anderson has also claimed significant local engagement: 25,000 constituent contacts, 816 parliamentary questions and 107 speeches in 2025, with local press crediting him with securing over £62.6m in investment for Ashfield during the previous parliament.

A 99% party-line voter with Reform UK, Anderson has nonetheless broken ranks three times -- supporting rail nationalisation, proportional representation, and assisted dying, all against his party's majority position. His participation rate of 61% sits below the Commons average. His voting record skews strongly against progressive taxation and workers' rights, while aligning closely with pro-business positions and Lords scrutiny. Speech activity is dominated by crime, the economy, immigration and social care, with 182 contributions across 103 debates. He shows notably higher support for NHS funding and public ownership than the typical Reform MP.
