Business Questions to the Leader of the House

Leader of the House announces next week's business

Business Questions to the Leader of the House is a weekly parliamentary procedure where MPs can ask the Leader of the House about upcoming Commons business, urgent matters, and procedural issues. This session, sponsored by Sir Alan Campbell (Labour, Tynemouth), allows backbench MPs to raise matters they wish to see debated or discussed in the chamber.

This is a procedural business statement with limited direct policy impact, but it provides an important mechanism for MPs to influence the parliamentary agenda and raise constituency or national concerns that might otherwise go unheard. It demonstrates parliamentary accountability and responsiveness to backbench priorities.
