The Women and Equalities Committee will conduct oral evidence hearings to examine how effective Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives are in practice. This inquiry matters because it will scrutinise whether taxpayers' and organisations' investments in EDI programmes are delivering tangible improvements in equality outcomes, or whether policy changes are needed—a question of growing political and public interest.
