How this works

  • Each post is categorised and scored by an automated analysis. The score reflects the argumentative tone of the MP's own post — not what other people are saying about them.
  • Sentiment averages are computed per-MP first, then aggregated. This stops one heavy-posting MP from dominating their party's signal.
  • Window is the last 60 days of posts in our database. The full longitudinal view becomes available once we backfill the rest of the parliament.
  • Only "substantive" posts are included — birthday tweets and condolences are filtered out.
  • Conservative MPs are largely absent from Bluesky — only 2 with handles in our cohort — so no Conservative party signal is available here.
